What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
SLYN Systems does most things by appointment so the client has no wait time. We work 7 days a week including nights and holidays, when scheduled.
Current clients receive 15 minutes FREE remote support for any issues that can be handled without a carry in or on-site visit.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Jeff Slyn has an A+ certification from decades ago and has attended many computer conferences, COMDEXes and CES Shows over the years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our standard rate for service is $60 an hour but if the computer is dropped off for service, you only pay for the time I have my hands on the keyboard, maximum 2 1/2 hours, even if I have to reload an operating system. Backing up data and hardware replacement are extra.
How did you get started in this business?
I worked for 4 computer retailers from May 1st, 1984 through September 1985 and went out on my own in October 1985.

We mostly work with home users, home businesses and small businesses but are able to work on file servers and other electronics!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
When looking to give someone your computer sales or service business, ask how long they have been employed at that company as well as how long they have been in the computer business.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Call us for anything computer related, no matter how small or simple. We are always willing to help.
