About
Although every customer hopes to find the most reliable service providers, it has become increasingly difficult to find responsible, reliable, and trustworthy contractors who will do what they commit to on the time schedule they promise while providing excellent workmanship. My Three Sons Professional Painting exists for this very reason: to provide the most professional and exceptional painting services to all its residential and commercial customers with the highest degree of responsibility, reliability and integrity.
We have been in business in the Greater Lexington area 10 years.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Phone call to set an estimate appointment.
2. Emial confirmation of appointment set including information about what to expect during the appointment, a survey to fill out to give us more information about our customer, and their project, a FAQs page about our company, and testimonials from many of our satisfied customers.
3. An on-site estimate walk through with the customer where we gather all needed information, make recommendations, and leave the customer with a very professional, written estimate that will serve as the contract should the customer choose to work with our company.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have more than 30 years in the painting industry, including many years of church and business leadership.
I am also a member of the platinum coaching program of the Academy of Professional Painting Contractors.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Yes. It is based on square footage of wall space, condition of home (preparation needed to achieve the desired level of excellence), products we will use, and the hours of labor to complete the project professionally.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with many middle and high end customers from all walks of life. Because of the skill level of our painters and leadership, we enjoy working with customers who have very high expectations and desire beauty in and around their home.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The painting contractor you select to work in and around your home is a big and important decision, bigger and more important than you might realize.
The painter you select for your project will be in and around your home for days, sometimes weeks. If they have access to the interior of your home, they will have access to your personal belongings. Most important, they will be in close contact with you and your family, and possibly your friends and neighbors.
For these reasons, it makes sense to gather as much information as possible about any potential contractor you might use.
Many Homeowners Are Far Too Trusting in Who They Select for a Painter and Therefore Set Themselves Up for Disappointment or Worse Because They Do Not Thoroughly Research Painting Contractors.
It is not enough to simply take a painter's word that they will do a good job, or that they carry all the proper insurance to protect you and your home. I encourage you to get proof that backs up their qualifications for working on your project - this will be time well spent. Get multiple references, and check their insurance documents.
While no process is perfect, and painters can "fudge" on their qualifications, some process for selecting a contractor is better than no process at all.
I am happy to provide to you a checklist of the documents you should ask to see before you accept a proposal from any painting contractor, even those recommended by a friend or family member.
While every piece of proof is not necessary for every project, many are.
If a painting contractor is unwilling or unable to furnish this documentation to you in advance of signing a contract, let that be a warning sign.
I know from experience that it is a lot easier to gather together a few pieces of paper than it is to complete a painting project to the satisfaction of a customer. If getting this information to you is a challenge for a contractor, imagine how he'll struggle with your painting project once the "real work" actually begins!
