Michael's of Palatine Construction Company has been in business for over 30 years. We are experienced and can handle any type of project from residential to commercial. Our hand picked team of sub contractors are competitive, work well together and that makes any project run better. Our business is family owned, My father and Mother have been in the construction industry over 40 years. My father and his siblings are all involved in the construction industry and so was my grandfather. My mother runs the office and I have learned a great deal from her. I am the oldest of my 3 siblings and have grown up around the general contracting and developing business since I was able to walk on a construction site. I went to Purdue University for construction management and graduated in 2009. The degree I earned combined with what I have learned personally and my father's experience allows us to tackle any project. Some projects we have completed are elaborate healthcare buildouts, restaurant buildouts, a 28 unit condo building, hundreds of homes and remodels. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like for potential customers to see our website mopconstruction.com to get an idea of some of the past projects we have completed. It is best to initially talk over the phone to discuss the project and what the goal of the project is. After a call is made we like for the potential customer to then email us at [email protected] any project details. These can be as simple as existing pictures, a basic sketch, or a list of ideas or amenities that relate to the project. This allows us to grasp a rough idea before we set up a meeting to see the existing conditions. Once we set up a meeting we stop out to see existing conditions, take dimensions, and create a sketch. In most cases, we can determine rough pricing at this point. From there we can bring in our contractors and work up a proposal. We are an experienced resource for the customer, allowing them to rely on us for input where and when it is needed. We want the end results to meet its intended goal and add value at a competitive price.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My father and mother have been involved in the construction industry over 40 years and I have been around the business since I was a child. I am the third generation in my family to be a part of the construction industry. I went to Purdue University for Construction Managment, graduated in 2009. We have completed all kinds of different projects from large to small with varying conditions.

We want to discuss the project, set up a meeting to see the conditions/ desired end results, and then price the work to take place. Every project is different and deserves to be properly looked at with the intention of it being completed.
