You will get an honest diagnosis and a reasonable repair cost. $20 per hour flat fee plus parts. No mark ups on parts. You get your old parts and receipts for new parts. I take pride in my work.If its not fixed to your satisfaction, you pay nothing.
I have a full time job. I do repair work because i enjoy it. Not to make a living. Just trying to help people get their equipment running without paying a fortune

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I introduce myself, you can see exactly where the work is performed. I talk and listen to customer complaints and trouble shoot the equipment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Went to Lincoln Technical Institute for auto and diesel technology. Been working on small gas engine for 40yrs

Most shops charge $60-$80 per hour. I charge flat fee $20 per hour
How did you get started in this business?
I enjoy working on engines and equipment. Been doing it for a long time. Ive built mini bkes and go karts for my kids. Decided to put my talent to work to help people that dont have a lot of resources to pay for repair, but desperatly need their equipment

Landscapers and friends. all my friends bring me their stuff to fix.

Took whole family to Minnesota for fishing trip...even the dog. good times
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Be careful. Lots of ripoff artists out there.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How much they are willing to pay to fix their equipment. Sometimes it makes more sense to buy something new, if they can afford to.
