Might sound crazy but there are a lot of things I enjoy about my job. The guys that work with me, the people that I get to meet, a hard days work, and the belief that the work we do changes a life, a family, or maybe a neighborhood. I know it's just concrete but a patio changes your back yard. A new drive changes the front of your house.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We usually setup a "meet and greet" to go over what a client wants. We also like to help our clients with what they are looking for. Sometimes they really don't know what they want and we help them with that. In other cases we can do a simple drive by or work off of a phone conversation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a liberal arts degree from NIU and a fire science degree from WCC. But, concrete is my passion. I think I'm going on my 26th year in the business. I've worked for large companies such as RA Bright Construction, medium companies like Mid-Valley Concrete, I've been a wall and flatwork forman, union finisher and a union labor.
