What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk over the phone to get a general idea of the work to be performed then meet face to face to measure and discuss details and pricing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained through the carpenter's apprenticeship program then took supplemental classes after. I also learned a great deal on the job from master carpenters I've worked with.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they have experience in the job being asked to complete. There are many aspects to carpentry.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Are they self taught or formally trained.
How much experience do they have in the task at hand.
