About

Afte 15 years of working in Hawaii's hospitality industry, I decided that it was time to stop working for someone else, and to start working for myself. So I quit my job, cashed in my retirement, and decided to take a mid-life retirement before going to work for myself. I sold most of my possessions, packed 2 bags, bought a one way ticket to Bali, and began the journey of my lifetime. After six months, I visited 11 different countries, 33 cities, travelled tens of thousands of miles, met hundreds of new friends, and made countless fantastic memories. That trip changed my life and gave me a better world view with a much different perspective as to what is important and what really matters in life. I learned that i dont need a lot, in fact there is very little I actually need to truly be happy. The rest is nice, but it's just stuff. And so now, here I am, doing something I enjoy, helping people. I like to think that by me spending my time doing things for others, it frees up some of their time, so they may spend it on something that truly matters, like being with loved ones. By doing so, I can save up towards the next part of my journey, as it is now my goal to travel internationally for a month every year. Then come home and work 11 months and save and plan the next leg. For now that I have started the journey of my lifetime, I have resolved to continue this journey, to see the wonders of this planet, to taste the delicacies of different cultures, to be amazed and inspired by the accomplishments of others, and to meet and share with the people who will cross my path. Perhaps I might find myself fortunate enough to help some of them along their paths, perhaps I will be lucky enough to have some of them show me different directions that I can choose to forge mine. But regardless of where my path takes me on this journey of my lifetime, I hope it never ends.

Life isnt about the car you drive, the clothes you wear, or the title on your business card. Life isnt about how much stuff you have or the size of your bank accounts. It isnt about money; it's not about stocks. Life is about bonds - the bonds you make with other people. It is by meeting others and sharing with them your time, your energy, and your experiences that you can make a difference, sometimes without you even knowing, and that difference can enrich their life. If you're truly fortunate, they might enrich yours too. That is type of richness that I strive for.

But what does all of this have to do with finding someone to help you with your task? Why should you choose me over my competition? Because by sharing my ultimate goal, I hope to be seen as someone who really cares, someone you can count on to do the job right, and someone who appreciates the fact that you are helping me by allowing me to help you. I am not a shady character looking to make a quick buck with shoddy work. I will do all that I can to do the job right and ensure that you're satisfied.

I really enjoy helping people. The best jobs are the ones where I can connect with people. When the job is done, I am happiest when I know that the owner is not just satisfied, but he or she will not hesitate to hire me again or recommend me to others. That is when I know the job was done right.

Frequently asked questions

A thorough walk through of the project prior to beginning any work is important to set proper expectations and gives an opportunity for both the owner and the professional to clarify any potential issues. A detailed inspection after completion is also helpful to identify strengths and weaknesses.

With 15 years experience in hospitality I have worked and trained others in all departments including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance and management. I have always been a 'hands-on' type of guy, always willing to learn new things and work with others to get the job done right.

Every job is unique, therefore quotes are given based on the requirements of the job, including the type and scope of work, the number of expected people and the total hours necessary to get the job done.

I have several friends who have their own cleaning businesses. I often assisted them on certain projects when I was available.  After separating from my employer in 2015, I decided that instead of working hard to make money for other people or corporations, it was time to be my own boss working for my own company, and work hard to put that money into my pockets, not someone else's.

Working in the hospitality industry at an international destination, I have literally worked with all kinds of people from all over the world!

One of the toughest jobs I've had to do was to clean a bathroom. I got the job from a social worker for the state. She offered me what I would charge to deep clean a 2 bedroom, 1 bath house just to clean a single bathroom.  The client was an elderly gentleman who was severely obese, making it almost impossible for him to be able to scrub the bathroom. It had been over 15 years since that bathroom had been throughly cleaned. To add to that difficulty, he also had difficulty breathing, so I couldn't use strong chemicals that would have fumes or odors. The social worker had already been turned down by several other cleaners, so she insisted that I met her on site and saw what the condition of the bathroom was before I could accept the job.  She was surprised that I accepted it but thrilled that I did. Apparently another cleaner asked for double the pay, and one told here that there was no amount that she could pay anyone to have it cleaned and that she would spend less money by ripping it out and replacing it with a new shower. She repeated how much the job paid and made certain that I knew this was the maximum amount the state would pay, and that I would not get any more. I assured her that I understood, and I would still accept the job. It was a full days work. It took 8 hours to clean that bathroom. It was a lot of work, and it wasn'tfun. But when I was finished and I showed the owner how clean his bathroom was, he was so appreciative that he began to cry. He couldn't believe that I was able to get 18 or more years of dirt off in one day. That, to me, was worth way more than the monetary compensation. I left that day satisfied that not only did I do a good job, but I helped someone who wasnt able to do it himself. It may have been my toughest job, and it wasnt the highest paying job, but it was also the most rewarding job and one that I am honored to have been able to do.
