The installation schedule was kept driven by a phased approach. Each installer called and performed a walkthrough to explain what phase is taking place and who comes next. An overall Project Manager was available for issues or questions.

Kevin, the salesman, was knowledgeable and quite friendly and so was the office staff. The carpenter was very skillful and kept everything on track and made sure all parts of the remodel was completed to his satisfaction, even if he had to do it himself. He was quite exceptional.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask whether the company subcontracts their installations. It's one of the most overlooked questions homeowners can ask and one of the most important. When a crew has no real relationship with the company you hired, accountability becomes murky fast. Make sure you know exactly who is showing up to your home.
Ask about the warranty — specifically whether it's tied to the manufacturer, the installer, or both. A warranty is only as strong as the company standing behind it.
And ask how long they've been in business and whether they manufacture or source their own product. A company that owns its product has a completely different level of accountability than one that's simply reselling someone else's.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How many windows or doors are you looking to replace, and are there any that are a higher priority than others? Having a rough sense of scope going in will help you have a more productive first conversation.
Are you prioritizing energy efficiency, aesthetics, durability, or a combination? Knowing what matters most to you will help narrow down your options quickly.
