About

I enjoy providing clients who want to know more about how to do things for themselves with information and instructions.

I've been in this business since the mid 1990's. I'm a one man shop and still serve the first client I ever had.

I love working for residential clients.

I do a fair amount of work for small city government and small businesses.

I've had service ratings in the top 5% of all service businesses in Atlanta for years.

Frequently asked questions

I prefer to listen to the client's issues first and then ask for a few other bits of information as needed. If my clients want to know more about their issues and preventing a return of those issues, I like to work on the machine while they are around. If they prefer just to have the issue fixed, I'm happy to do that either on site or at my office.

This has been my profession for 24 years. Prior to that, I had training for corporate computer issues. I found that most small businesses and residential clients didn't need that high-end expertise and began concentrating on teaching myself about the issues that my clients needed help with.

My rate has been $95 an hour for decades. I bill in quarter hour increments. I charge somewhat less for some non-profits.

I was in a job that needed help with some SCO UNIX issues so I learned what I needed to take care of that and also started building websites which was a very different business in that era. When people found out that I could do those things they began to hire me to take care of tech issues for them and their businesses.

Individuals, families, small businesses, governments, political campaigns...

I've built four computer labs for a city government branch over the last few years. I maintain those labs and get to know some of the end users there.

I've also taught computer classes to some new users for the same government entity.

Speak to the person on the phone or in person before you make a decision. If they listen well and offer possible fixes for your issues, they may be a good fit for you.

Do they want someone to maintain their systems or just to fix a current issue?

Do they offer help with prevention rather than just repair?

Do they seem to be confident and capable?
