MRC Painting Company
About
My service stands out because I am personally on every job and asure that everything is done to with the highest quality materials and workmanship. I have been in the business for over 40 years and have seen and done almost every kind of painting there is. I am proud that I rarely get called back to fix anything and most of my customers use me again and refer me to other friends or family.
I like to see the difference in the job before and after it is complete. Also the reaction of the customer when it is finished. I always feel good about a job well done and appreciated. I also like meeting new customers because so many of them are nice and interesting people.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually meet with the customer personally so I can see exactly what the customer wants, or if they are not sure I can recommend options. I can show them color and sheen options and recommend the best brand and product choices. I than provide a detailed written estimate. Before the work is started I meet again with the customer to review and schedule the work to be done. I work with the customer to complete the work on their schedule. When the work is complete to the customers satisfaction than we are paid.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the painting business for 37 years. I completed a 3 year apprenticeship in the painters union in 1979. After 10 years in the union I became the lead painter in an army hospital for 15 years. Moved to Florida in 2001 and started my own business. Have been in business since and do the large majority of my work on repeating customers and referrals.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a standard pricing system for my services because there are so many variables involved in pricing a job. For instance two homes with the exact square footage can take a completely different amount of time and material, based on height, condition, type of texture type of paint, color changes and amount of furniture or obstacles to be moved. Also by looking at the job personally I can get a better feel for what the customer wants.
How did you get started in this business?
I started in 1979 in a 3 year apprentceship program.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with residential, business, HOAs and government customers.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would recommend the customer meet with and ask a lot of questions of the contractor. Get a feel for their knowledge and expertise. Make sure your comfortable with them and that they have explained everything they will be doing. Check references and license if needed. If you want the best quality job get a contractor that specilizes in what you want and not just a handyman. Ask about quality of materials to be used. Get a written estimate and ask when payment is required. I do not recommend paying anyone before the work is complete. A quality job at a fair price is your best value.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Customers should have a good idea about what they want to accomplish. When they want to start and complete the job and who will actually be doing the work.
