I use an industry standard to the task at hand. I'm also quick to point out to a customer any tricks or advantages from my experience I can pass along to them in savings. Everybody enjoys saving a few dollars.

How did you get started in this business?

I was born in 1976 and I got my first circular saw in 1983 I was 7 years old From then I built an entire skatepark between my neighbor's house & mine including a 2 story tree fort with all the bells and whistles by the age of 12. 17 yrs old I started professionally commercial framing and hanging drywall for the largest contractor in the area. Which after 2008 issues I finally realized how much money I was not making working for myself so I went on my own and the rest is history.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Feel them out first use your gut. Run away if they are asking for money before they start. Small deposit for materials if it's a big job but never for a labor only task. Company uniform is always a plus.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Budget first, then prioritize your projects. Almost all projects add value to your home, but some you will get more use out of plus added value in the home. Do a quick Google search about your needs price out in your area. So you don't get ripped off. Believe me they're out there
