We hired Allman Construction License #CBC 1262298,in April of 2021 to do a complete remodel and addition. Permits were not given to the city of Hollywood until July 2021 and were finally approved in January 2022. We had plenty of revisions from his poor work that he had to redo. Our new addition was done with such little care. We had rain soak all new electrical, insulation, and walls because the roofers jeff hired did not cover the roof. Days of rain poured into our new addition and when we would call Jeff, he would say that he has no control over it. Though we hired him to do this addition! We have had several issues with Jeff including that he had an RV parked in the back of my house for 8 months, using my electricity and shower.. he and his workers never paid a dime for it. Our agreement was that he would finish my home in a timely matter as we have no home and have been living in the back, in a mother-in-law suite with our 4 children. In April I filed a complaint with BBB and allowed it to be dismissed because he wrote me an email that the house would be finished a month from approval of the revisions we had at that time (which one I don’t even remember, had so many revisions!) In May we had an issue where the main house had a massive water leak causing major water damage inside. He said our roof was poor and needed to get repaired. This is AFTER he installed a beam through our roof and said the roof was capable of 2 more years. He lied and last minute we had to do a whole new roof, including the addition that HE is in charge of. Did I mention we paid for the new addition roof already? … He has yet to return us our money. Now we are in September of 2022 and dry walls have JUST finished. We asked him when he was going to come and finish the rest he says he also had other priorities first. Whenever he was done then he would come. This is what he has been saying since the roof was finished in July. We have been living in a small efficiency for almost a year waiting for our house to finish. He writes to us emails that the house will be done in a month, giving us high expectations. but then he lies and nothing happens. He doesn’t even show up and hasn’t for weeks. I have cameras running to see who comes and goes. At this point, the only way we are going to finish our home is if we continue on our own. Yet he owes us money! We are desperate for our children to be in their beds again. Our lives have been altered in so many ways because of this horrible situation. We have paid way over 80% of our contract agreement, what we owe him is nothing compared to what we have already paid. He has no motivation to finish. Yet the house sits bare with nothing. We’ve paid him for countertops - have yet to receive them. We are waiting for a new A/C as well He is a nightmare of a contractor and what I and my family have gone through, I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I have videos and photos of his poor work and how badly he treated my home. I will be happy to share! No one should go through this! [email protected] At this time we have been paying for every subcontractor, going against the contract. He has stopped following the draw payments- agreed on the contract. Instead, he told us to pay the drywall subcontractor. Also, against the contract, he never has anyone here reviewing the work being done. RUN FAR AWAY from Allman Construction and Jeffery Allman He is not an honest contractor.

We have booked Roy and Allman builders for a fairly significant extension next year. We contacted lots of builders for quotes. Roy really listened to us, made suggestions, quoted on everything we discussed. He was responsive and always got back to us. We actually contacted about 8 builders, he was the first who replied and straight away we liked him. Obviously you have to get other quotes which were all similar but Roy was the only one who visited, listened, suggested and provided a detailed quote.

He shows up on time and answers question when we asked He saved us the need to hire a Architect as he did all the required drawings. Because we hired him the Plans did not cost us the need of using a Architect and the Plans were included.
