Better Gardens By Design

We provide Landscape Design services, horticultural consultation, along with Landscape Construction Administration services to coordinate installation. We also have a tropical bromeliad nursery and can supply tropical trees, shru, flowers and ground covers for projects in South West Florida. We specialize in rare and interesting plant material to give our projects a unique and different look.

At Better Gardens by Design we have 30+ years experience in the Landscape Design and Construction fields. The business is comprised of 2 partners, Cary Hester and Grant Harper, employees under their direction.

Cary Hester has a BS in Ornamental Horticulture from Cornell University in 1992 and a Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of Florida at Gainesville in 2005. Cary has 26 years experience in this industry.

Grant Harper joined the team in 2011. He has several yearsexperience from Naples Botanical Garden where he served as their Bromeliad Expert and guided them with bromeliad installation and management services, while simultaneously providing classes and instruction for the public. He has since worked few with us for 7 years providing unique and exciting landscape design and installation serviOur goal at Better Gardens by Design is to provide our clients with the most unique and interesting up to date landscape design and installation services along with horticultural consultation so clients can be proud of the gardens we create at their home or business.
