Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once we receive an inquiry for a project, we make the initial call to the client to discuss their needs and set up a free estimate. At the estimate, we measure all areas and discuss options that best suit the client's needs, such as color, budget, and time frame. With all the information gathered, we generate an estimate for the client to review. After accepting the estimate, a timeline is generated to begin the project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With a background in Industrial Engineering, I developed my career for more than a decade in improving efficiency, quality and safety in the area of manufacturing. I have a passion for building relationships with customers that are based on a quality product and finish, while also being budget-friendly.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our pricing is based in square footage for walls and linear foot for baseboards and trim to be painted. Extras and repairs will be discussed prior to the estimate. Patching pin holes in drywall is usually a complementary service.
How did you get started in this business?
After more than a decade working in the manufacturing field, I found myself looking for a new challenge. With my background in quality assurance, I wanted a way to work more directly with clients and offer a quality product and service. The painting industry provides just that. It's a way for me to put my strengths into practice and create long term relationships with customers and suppliers.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with customers with varying budgets, from residential homeowners to business owners, who are looking to improve their living or work space.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Right before the Covid-19 shutdown, we had scheduled an interior painting job for late March with an elderly couple. The couple was rightfully nervous and decided to postpone their project until the restrictions were lifted. When we finally were able to begin, we put all of our efforts into making sure that our job was as quick and safe as possible. We were able to complete a projected 3 day project in just one day and kept the client updated every few hours on our progress. At the end of the day, we made sure to sanitize all surfaces that could have been touched by our crew to provide the family with extra piece of mind. The couple was completely satisfied with our work and customer service.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The most important thing is to ask the company what the process is for completing the job and what materials they will use. Also, you want to make sure that the company asks you, the homeowner, how you envision the results to make sure they can match your expectations.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Think about what you want your finished project to look like and what budget you have to work with. Do you have a color in mind? Do you know all the surfaces you want painted? What about your project are you unsure of? Write down questions you have and ask them of the professionals you talk to. Any company you hire should have the answers to all of your questions and be able to offer you ideas if you need them, and you deserve to know how you are going to get your money's worth.
