What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I contact them over the phone to determine if an on-site estimate is needed. If I can provide a quote without a visit, I ask for their email and send over an estimate and schedule a date to begin work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
3 year apprenticeship painting
3 year apprentice plumber
4 year carpenter
5 years general construction
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Generally I quote per item. I have a minimum fee of $75 for any job within 20 miles. My hourly rate is $50 if it's general handyman tasks with a 3 hour minimum. Any job that requires specialized plumbing or electrical tools will be bid accordingly.
How did you get started in this business?
Instead of college, I went to work. Four years in I was a general construction foreman making as much as my college pals without the debt. I enjoy the diverse work, cool people and projects I get to work on and meet.
