What I love most about being a painter is the finished look of a project. I get a great deal of happiness seeing your home transform. I enjoy my trade because I can use paint to totally change the look of a space. I enjoy the transformation just as much as you will. Before and after pictures never get old to me.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We do not have a standard pricing system, it really depends on your project. Sometimes the condition your home is in meaning the more prep work that your home needs prior to paint can change the price. Say there are 2 home same size of 2000 sq feet, 1 house was built in 2009 and the other in 1990 the older home might get a higher quote due to the prep work the home needs compared to the newer home that just needs minor prep and 2 coats of paint. Although we always do our very best to give everyone very fair prices, we are not trying to make millions off people, just enough to keep our employees paid and live comfortably here in San Diego.
How did you get started in this business?
So I have been painting since I graduated high school, my father is also a licensed painter. He has been painting for over 30 years, he taught me everything is know. My 2 older brothers are also painting contractors, so I guess you can say it’s in my blood. I was born to paint houses.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Here at Michael’s Discount Painting, we have worked with all types of customers. We do residential, commercial, and most recently government funded prevailing wage projects. I enjoy working with everyone although I have to say I enjoy meeting new people and working with residential customers most because through hard work and excellent customer service, I always feel we end up being more of friends.
