Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After being contacted by a potential customer, we will set up a time for Dan (the company owner and founder) to provide an in-person, in-home, quote. If the customer likes the quote, we can proceed with a professional proposal and contract to start a project or periodic landscaping service.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
40+ years experience as a General and Landscape Contractor with up-to-date Class B & C27 licenses.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
It's not complicated. We break the pricing down for each item such as turf, grading, drains, irrigation and pavers with costs for porta-toilet and clean up. Our prices are standard depending on the work/product desired and we hold to our contracts.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been doing this for over 40 years.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Residential home owners, Commercial business owners and managers, realitors, property managers, and large government entities, etc.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently completed two jobs at the same time. Each job took about a week and a half. One was a concrete job where the home owner wanted a huge concrete patio in the back yard. We demolished the old concrete, graded the land to drain away from the house, installing extra drains, then poured concrete and finished the patio with a nice broom finish to her specifications. The other job was a paver project where the home owner had us demo a D.G. walkway and install pavers surrounding two Jacaranda trees with new irrigation, lights, artificial turf, and drought tolerant plants.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Stick with the best people. You won't think of the money in a couple of years but the work will be what you look at every day. So you want quality and not just the lowest price.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
How much time it takes to do estimates properly? How many hours we put in on a daily basis? Are you licensed and insured? Are your workers covered if they get hurt? Our company can answer in the positive for all of these questions.
