Mural Painting, Decorative Painting, Color Consultation and Interior Painting
I enjoy helping people bring their visions to life. I started painting murals for my kids, which led to a mural painting business almost 20 years ago. Painting murals led to theater set painting and design, for which I won a Shellie Award (the East Bay's version of the Tony's). All of this led me to painting fine art and I now paint for Disney Fine Art.

I typically start by discussing with the client their painting needs and budget over the phone. If the client chooses to set up a consultation, I take a $100 deposit for my time (which I apply to the cost of the job if they decide to hire me). During the consultation, I help the client narrow down what exactly they are looking for--whether it's a custom mural, decorative paint, color consulation or interior painting. If it's a mural or decorative painting, I ask the client to look for pictures as examples of what they are looking for before our first meeting so we have somewhere to start. If design time is necessary (beyond our initial consultation, I charge a $75 per hour fee for design time). Once we have a general idea for a plan, I give an estimate of the cost of the job and how long the job should take usually by visiting the space to be painted or with accurate photos of the space (emailed to me with clear dimensions and descriptions of the space). If the customer wants to hire me, both parties sign a contract and I ask for half the cost of the job upfront and the remainder when the job is completed. If it's a job that will take longer than a few days or a week, I ask for payment in increments.
