We typically schedule an appointment with the homeowner and review the property and listen to what it is they are wanting to achieve for there outdoor living space.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Had a project where the clients husband passed away during the construction and wanted the waterfall to be spectacular. After a very surreal event "his profile appeared in the shadow of the waterfall on the pool floor" they decided to place his ashes and a plaque in the water feature .
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Do your research and check reviews. A lot of contractors give cheap bids and gouge clients after they are locked into contact. Ask for references and if possible have them show recent work performed.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Research things related and ask your contractor specific questions related to trade to quiz their ability.
