How did you get started in this business?
With backgrounds in horticulture, garden design, and design, it was a natural pogression. Landscape and design is our passion.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with both residential and commercial customers who have a variety of needs.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
We recently relandscaped a home using a Xeriscape design, or more clearly described as low maintenance and low water useage landscaping. The customer loved the desert, so we gave them the colors and materials found naturally in a desert setting.
In contrast to the Xeriscape landscape, we recently installed a landscape incorporating a Tuscany design and replaced the entire lawn with artificial grass for a customer who had repeated issues with rabbits eating her living grass.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Good communication, experience, and a licensed and fully insured contractor are a must. We are regularly called to fix issues due to poorly installed irrigation and drainage systems, lighting and landscaping.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Make sure you hire a licensed contractor and keep a realistic budget in mind.
