My issue was a fairly complex issue but Mike took care of it with professionalism and made it fun. I learned a lot about why my computer did what it did and how I can protect my computer from things like this in the future. I am truly happy I called Mike.

    Frequently asked questions

I enjoy getting to know people and putting them at ease.  It can be scary to allow someone into your house so I make sure everyone is comfortable with me and lkisten to them and make sure I understand their issue before I start the fix their computer.  I encourage the customer to ask me any questions they may have so they can learn how to prevent problems in the future.

I have been in the computer field for well over 20 years and continue to takes classes to keep my skills sharp even many times I know more about the course than the instructor however I am always respectful of their position and knowledge.  There are always things I learn ever day and I enjoy that.

I have a Senior Discount of $60.00 per Hour with a 1 hour minimum.  There are no trip charges or highre rates for Saturdays.

My standard rate is $75.00 an hour.

I am not a stickler for watching the charging or charging for every minute I am there.  My customers are usually pleasantly surprised when they get their bill and many times give me a tip.

I took my first computer class in college and have always found them to be fun and interesting.  When I needed a job many years ago, I decided it might be fun to try to fix computers and so I started fixing my family and friends computers and it took off from there by word of mouth.

My business has almost always been with residential customers although I have worked with many businesses.  I prefer residential customers because I like meeting people and in businesses I meet the owner and maybe receptionist and the person who has an issue but everyone has their own story to tell and I enjoy hearing about everyone's story and their life.

Recently a new customer called me for advice on which computer to buy since her old one was "full of viruses and would not even start."  She was convinced she needed a new computer because she took it to one of the big box stores and they told her she needed a new one.  I was able to fix her computer and protect it from the same thing happening again and I saved her a LOT of money.  Plus she is a really nice lady and we had a lot of fun getting her computer running fast again.

Make sure you hire the right person.  It is scary to allow someone into your house so make sue you know who it is and that you are comfortable with them.  I always say "if they make your liver quiver, it is time to show them the door" and I live by that myself.  If someone does not seem to know what they are doing, they may not or if they give you the same answer to multiple questions, they may not know what they are doing and you are wasting your time and money.

How do you use your computer?  If it is just for email and a little Web surfing and comparison shopping, you do not need the biggest and best computer so if someone is trying to sell youone like that RUN AWAY!  Make a list of what you want done or would loike to learn about your computer or phone and when the repair person arrives, show them the list and make sure it is done before they leave.
