Lori is a gem! She is lovely to be around, very smart and takes pride in the work she does. A real professional that you can trust and count on! We hired her to watch our dog (first time we ever left her alone), sprout and grow mico greens which she learned to do from videos i left her to watch. She cleaned our place and we came home to perfect sprouts, a happy dog and clean home… wow!
She is an excellent pet sitter who took time to meet with us before our trip to discuss our cat's needs. We felt very confident entrusting our cat's care to her.
I hired Lori to take my Mom to her appointments and run some errands for her while our full time caregiver was out of town for a family emergency. She is very compassionate, kind and very good with seniors and pets. She follows directions very well, is a careful and safe driver and makes my Mom feel happy. Lori has an amazing energy and I would definitely hire her again.
She is very dependable and flexible on changes that I made. She is very efficient and does a great job with my whole household. She is reliable, knowledgeable, and great with my kids and pets. I would definitely recommend her as you will be getting a trustworthy, organized and genuinely kind person.
Phone interview first to make sure I can deliver what the client needs and agree on terms.
In person meet and greet and to solidify any changes, further details, etc.
I have had pets and have done pet sitting for most of my life. I have excellent references too. Hands on training is really the best kind of training there is. I have also been a cleaner just as long. Currently I clean airbnb's for several companies.
Pet sitting $40 per pet per visit per day. Overnight is $100 total.
Cleaning for 1bed/1 bath plus kitchen is $60.
I use my own cleaning products.
I have spent the better part of my life attending to family and friends pets while they were away. I started getting alot of requests since I have been known to be the dog/cat whisperer. I have attended to fish, chickens, lizards and birds as well. Decided that since I'm passionate about animals I would turn it into a business. I have been cleaning apts just as long.
All types: Business people, elderly, retired, busy doctors, and vacationers, family, friends and everyone in between.
All events where I get to spend time with someone's fur babies are special for me. I have been an animal lover since I was a small toddler.
Meet with them in person or at least over the phone. I always say the initial connection will determine if you are comfortable with the pet sitter.
Time frame you will be away, what your expectations are (ie 30 minute visit vs having your pet out for a walk/run), of course what money you are able to pay the sitter, and anything else that you think would be pertinent information for the pros to have.
As far as cleaning, I like to know what areas to focus on, is it an overall house cleaning and once I get there I can determine how many hours it will take me. If it is very dirty than that is considered a deep cleaning and could take much more time than a house that have been cleaned consistantly every 2 weeks.
