About
Hi, my name is Lori and I have been pet sitting since the 80's. I have taken care of cats, dogs, lizards, birds, fish, iguanas and guinee pigs. I can give medication, insulin, pills, etc if needed. I am looking for extra weekend pet sitting so if you are heading out of town for the weekend, give me a shout.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Phone interview first to make sure I can deliver what the client needs and agree on terms.
In person meet and greet and to solidify any changes, further details, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had pets and have done pet sitting for most of my life. I have excellent references too. Hands on training is really the best kind of training there is. I can do walking/running with dogs, meds, shots, washing, etc.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pet sitting $40 per visit per day for 2 pets. $5 each additional pet. Overnight (10 hrs) is $100 total.
Caregiving is $25 per hour with 3 hour minimum.
Can run errands too.
How did you get started in this business?
I have spent the better part of my life attending to family and friends pets while they were away. I started getting alot of requests since I have been known to be the dog/cat whisperer. I have attended to fish, chickens, lizards and birds as well. Decided that since I'm passionate about animals I would turn it into a business.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types: Business people, elderly, retired, busy doctors, and vacationers, family, friends and everyone in between.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
All events where I get to spend time with someone's fur babies are special for me. I have been an animal lover since I was a small toddler.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Meet with them in person or at least over the phone. I always say the initial connection will determine if you are comfortable with the pet sitter.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Time frame you will be away, what your expectations are (ie 30 minute visit vs having your pet out for a walk/run), of course what money you are able to pay the sitter, and anything else that you think would be pertinent information for the pros to have.
As far as cleaning, I like to know what areas to focus on, is it an overall house cleaning and once I get there I can determine how many hours it will take me. If it is very dirty than that is considered a deep cleaning and could take much more time than a house that have been cleaned consistantly every 2 weeks.
