What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An inquiry is made by a potential customer about a project via phone or email. Once it has been determined that our company services the area and can provide the services requested, an in-home consultation is scheduled. Rich Haertel, owner of Rich Improvevments, will meet a customer at the project site to discuss the project details. Then, if appropriate, he will provide a written estimate on the spot or he will inform the customer when to expect a written quote. If a follow up meeting is needed, one will be scheduled with Rich. How did you get started in this business?
As a young man in high school, Rich's desire to work in home improvements was strong. For several years, he worked for different companies gaining experience in many different areas of home improvements. In 1999, he started his own company, Rich Improvements. Rich has been serving Southeastern WI for almost 30 years.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Rich Improvements primarily works with current homeowners remodeling exisiting homes. We have also worked with other builders and new construction projects.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Rich Improvements has been honored to work with one particular customer for the last year and a half. She has needed a lot of remodeling done both interior and exterior. After working with other contractors in the past and having bad experiences, Rich Improvements was proud to be able to provide her with all the home improvement services she requested because of our vast amount of expertise. This customer was happy she found a contractor that from design to install does it all!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure the company you hire is a licensed and fully insured company with an A+ Better Business Bureau rating. Remember, choosing the least expensive contractor will not always produce the best quality work. Never give more than 50% downpayment...Rich Improvements typically requires 30%. Always make sure you have a contract that clearly defines the product and services you will be provided for the price you are paying.
