Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, the process begins with an initial phone call or email, to get an understanding of our client's needs, including the purpose for obtaining the valuation, and the date they need it by. Next, we schedule an inspection of the property, where a state-license certified appraiser takes notes, asks questions, and takes pictures of the interior and exterior of the property. Next, we do some number crunching (the fun part!) to determine a valuation. Lastly, we deliver the client an electronic copy of the report (PDF) via email, and a paper copy (if requested).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My real estate education began at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where I majored in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics. Since then, I've taken several courses from the Appraisal Institute, and include the following:

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our Company Culture focuses on the observation that every client, appraisal assignment, and property is different. Although our fees are not “standardized,” they are considered to be competitive and reasonable, by our past clients, given the quality of report and time expended in each assignment. For a detailed quote, please give us a call, or email us (contact info found in our website).
What types of customers have you worked with?
Large and small business, real estate developers, law firms, real estate investors, rehabers, general contractors, and financial institutions (credit unions, local and regional banks).
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Customers should think about the purpose of the appraisal before talking to a professional about the project. The purpose of the appraisal will assist the professional in providing an appropriate appraisal report specified to their needs.
