Between my wife and I were have 7 children and 16 grandchildren, always something going on. Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All I need is square footage of the home so we can agree on a price, then a first and last name, phone number, email address were to send the report when finished and the address of the home to be inspected.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
20 years maintaining, inspecting and modifying structures and equipment in the sand and gravel industry. I am a AHIT (American home inspector training) graduate, Washington licensed and insured. Inspectors also are required to attend continuing education classes.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Cost of inspections are based on square footage, please call for price. 253 495 5318
How did you get started in this business?
My job for years and years was inspecting equipment, maintaining production and prevention of down time. I missed out on family activities and functions working long hours and 6 days a week. Owning my own business allows me to schedule around family time.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Young first-time buyers, middle aged up grade buyers and sellers, wealthy investors buying and selling, I have several repeat client's and give discounts when a client keeps getting under bid and forced to keep looking for a home
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A young family hired me three times tell we found a home wear there offer was accepted and the inspection showed no hidden issues or surprise improvement cost.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find your own inspector, not the realtors inspector, get a fair price based on square footage and be sure to attend at least most of the inspection.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Think about location of the home and your commute, plan a budget for any deffered cost items like new water heater or furnace, let the inspector know if you have young children so safety issues are closely inspected. Make note of the landscape and how weather might affect the home and your comfort personality.
