Wadleigh Painting Co
About
My business is a small high quality, very detailed orientated business. I am on every job from start to finish. My painters are highly trained. Every aspect of all the jobs are scrutinized by me with a high standard to meet.
Ive been painting since high school (mid '60s). I've been in love with painting ever since. Painting is the quickest way to beautify something...almost magical the way a building can go from drab to fab.
I started painting in 1970. fresh out of high school. In 1978 I joined the painting union in Seattle. There I was exposed to high end painting. We did all the Nordstrom stores, banks and industrial painting. In 1982 I quit the union after completing the apprentiship program and started my own company, Wadleigh Painting Co. and have been in business ever since
I especially like applying that painting magic to my customers homes. The praise I get, the oohhs and awws from my customers make my jobs very satisfying.
Painting is hard work. All the prep work and planning I do pay off when I can create works of joy and beauty. I can see the praise in my customers eyes when the job is done. I love it.

Every job with a new customer presents challanges in that I must prove myself to the new customer.
I spend whatever time it takes to educate my customers...new or old.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training was a four year apprentiship with the painting union. There I was required to attend class room work coupled with on the job training.
I completed the four year training. I had also painted for eight years on my own prior to joining the union.
After completing the union training and my own painting experience I felt qualified to start my own business as Wadleigh Painting Co
