Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process is to have a discussion with the customer about the pest situation they are encountering, positively identifying the pest or pests involved, and then proposing a course of action to the customer on a best method or methods of control. Some services can be quoted over the phone, and many requre inspection first.
How did you get started in this business?
My father was a crop duster and flying farmer, and my uncle was in the agriculture business and has a degree in agronomy and entomology. Growing up in my househould, talking about insects and pesticides was routine conversation on a daily basis. I even worked one summer when I was in college for my uncle helping him check his fields and identify insects. I guess you could say there was a legacy for me to naturally follow in one day.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would look for someone who cares, who is going to know you by name, and take ownership of your pest control needs.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
1. Does my pest control company just want my money, or do they want to foster a relationship that builds trust?
2. What is your pest control company going to do differently, or how will they set themselves apart from the competition?
3. How is my pest control company going to create value for me?
