About this pro

Green Van Lines is a family owned and operated moving company based in Dallas, Texas. We opened our doors with the idea that a moving company can provide a smooth, professional and competitively priced service while maintaining strong eco-friendly practices. We are proud to be the first moving company to recognize that our industry takes a toll on the environment, and are continuously incorporating methods to minimize our eco-footprint. We start with boxes and packing supplies that are made from 100% recycled materials, and are eco-friendly right down to the organic cotton shirts on our backs! We minimize paper waste by incorporating electronic communication wherever possible and promote green friendly organizations like wherever we can. We do whatever we van, wherever we can and are always open to suggestions on how to be more eco-friendly!

Green Van Lines hires and trains the best and most experienced movers in the industry and provides a quality service unparalleled by any other moving company. Our professional movers go through an extensive training process in which they learn to effectively and safely disassemble and reassemble your furniture and protect your possessions with blankets, pads, shrink wrap and tape. Our movers learn what can and cannot be stacked to minimize potential damage to your belongings. They have the experience required to effectively package and protect your fragile possessions like glass top tables, mirrors, picture frames, televisions and antiques. The maneuvering and handling of your Piano or other bulk items is an art form that is lost amongst most moving companies, but mastered at Green Van Lines! What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Understanding your Quote
Non-Binding price.
Are not a contract. Instead, a non-binding is an approximation of the cost based on mover's survey of the items to be moved, with the final cost determined after shipment has been weighed. Since a non-binding estimate is based on actual weight/volume of the shipment. a non-binding quote will usually seem lower when compared to a binding quote. Non-binding quotes are subject to change and always will increase
Binding Quotes / Flat Price.
Flat Price means that you are obligated to pay the price set forth in the binding estimate even if the shipment weight less than the estimated amount. All binding estimate covers only the goods and services listed on the estimate. If you add items or request additional services, the mover may revise the original binding quote and add on price.
Binding not to exceed agreements are just as good as they get. It establishes in writing how much you will pay for services with a cap on the total amount you can pay. A binding not to exceed quote is provided only after a representative has physically come out to your home to inspect the items being move and services needed.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
3 Simple Questions to ask each moving company prior to getting a quote!
First Question: What is your Address?
Ask your moving company for their physical address and then search for this address on Google.  Check if they operate from an office/warehouse or a Plaza (such as a UPS store) from an Apartment or a House :) You want to make sure you are dealing with a professional moving company and NOT a fly by night Mover.
Second Question: How many trucks do you have?
Ask your moving company how many trucks they have and then go on to confirm and make sure the information they have given you matches what the D.O.T has on file.
Third Question: How long are you in business?
Ask your moving company how long they have been in business then go to to confirm as well as view if this company is accredited and what is their rating.
