Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a potential client calls my office, I am texted their information and address. At that time I will contact them to set a time for us to meet and discuss their project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Hands on Carpenter for 30 years, successful small business owner, school of hard knocks and still learning. EPA certified in lead based paint work safe practices.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
each job is bid independently
How did you get started in this business?
started in landscaping and maintenance in the 90s, this led to building and installing decks, patios and outdoors structures which quickly led to our interior and exterior remodeling services being offered in early 2004.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types served. Not a good fit for investors as they are looking for cheap and were not the cheap guy or the most expensive. Our clients are homeowners looking for quality over price.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Rise in the stock market and overall market conditions.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
interview 2-3 general contractors as needed but not too many as this just gets confusing, and if your getting more than 3 bids your jsut looking for the cheapest bid, and the bid amount should not be the main deciding factor.
IF one offers a price that seems too good to be true then it is!
IF the contractor can start right away this may be a sign that the contractor is not busy , if so there is a reason for this.
After meeting your desired candidates then consider who you feel you can trust and is telling you the truth, and does not ask for a big deposit. If the price is fair and you have a good feel for the GC , then it should be a good fit.
