What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a new customer reaches out to M&M we like to come give a free estimate, discuss the project and then set a date to do the work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Working under past employers that have taught us the skills and trade we are in. We boast of 22 years experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We believe it is unfair to go by an hourly rate. Here at M&M we like to bid the project itself. This way is more fair to the customer, as well as to M&M.
How did you get started in this business?
Started out as a painter and soon move through to managing maintenance of 240+ apartment complex. From there I moved to Tennessee with my wife and we started M&M Contracting and Handyman Svc.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have done everything from realty to home owner all the way to commercial work.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
We just completed a 2 bathroom complete floor to ceiling remodel. They are in love and so are we!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask people about them. If you don't get a good vibe upon meeting them do not hire them. Ask for pictures of completed work. Are they a member of the BBB? Can you locate a page for them off the BBB or their website? If you answered no to more than one of those we recommend you find another contractor.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Have a plan/design in your mind and if possible drawn up. A list is much appreciated of projects if there are a few+ of them. Start in one room and give details to the contractor/handyman then move to the next. If you can invision your dream share it with us. Favorite colors may seem silly, but for us that is a main clue on your personality which makes us see your dreams more clearly.
