20 years in and around construction field.   Started in HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical progressed from Residential systems to Commercial.

Supervised and worked along side a crew in HVAC field for a major remodel and addition to UCA in Conway Arkansas.

College - Associates in Mechanical Engineering.

Management - Managed 12 mechanical poultry houses then upgraded them to 75% Automated and 25% mechanical.

All of my experiences have allowed me to grow in knowledge and training for different projects that have been invaluable for my business.

The old saying goes necessity is the mother of invention.  Due to cut backs in government spending has put me in a position to rethink my future.

So instead of starting a new job I took my unemployment as an opportunity to invest in myself.  By purchasing a pressure washer and other related equipment I started pressure washing houses.  Soon realized that in our small community lots of folks were bidding on the same projects which made it very difficult to compete.

After this my family was left with a real delima and that was to pick up and move to a larger city.  So we moved to Memphis, TN.  Work was tough to get going and almost gave up, but something in me kept driving me to keep going.

Soon I started getting calls but not for pressure washing.  All the calls I kept getting were from customers wanting Handyman work done.  Who knew that folks in Memphis washed their cars more than their homes.

I had to turn down a lot of work request because I didn't have the equipment to do a lot of the work.  So one day I realized that the only way I was going to make it was to become a Handyman.  I went and applied with the Lowes and Home Depot for credit to get materials and tools from to complete projects.

I started in 2012 and still in business today because I shifted my focus.  Now I have to turn down work because I can't keep up with the volume.  I have helped over 200 commercial customers and probably 3 times that in residential from service calls to full on repairs or remodels.

Residential and Commercial

Remodeled a Conference room for one of my repeat commercial clients.

It was a triangle shaped room that we painted the walls changed the ceiling grid from a 2x4 panel to a 2x2 tegular panels added 6 drop in led fixtures and 3 eyeball lights on a dimmer.

Installed floating laminate flooring and added a faux wood blind.

Be slow to speak and quick to listen.  During the planning phase you should have a clear understanding of what will take place during the different aspects of your project.

The lowet bid is not always the safe bet and the highest bid isn't always someone trying to rip you off.

This requires repeating all the time because many people do not understand what it takes to own and operate a business in cost.

A company you called to do work isn't an employee.  As long as you understand this then you can understand why they charge what they do.

Pay for materials up front when requested but never pay for labor until the job is complete or milestones are made between you and the company.  Milestones are say 25% of the project is completed so you can release 25% of the money for that work.  Milestones are usually only for large work that will take several weeks or months to complete.

What is my budget?

What is involved in completing the project?  <--- Will have multiple questions come up as you learn more about the project.
