Carpet business Tips:
1. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is!
2. If you really listen, you'll be able to have a clear understanding deciding if a contractor is qualifiable.
3. Make sure you clearly explain what you want to see from the job. The contractor will be able to give you an honest opinion.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Welcome to CarpetFlooringCo, what type of flooring are you interested in? After finding the perfect floor at the best price, we'll order the material and schedule the installation when materials are received at the warehouse. All materials have life-time a installation guarantee. We are excited to work with and make your flooring dreams come true.
3 Step process:
1. Shop-at-home or if your flooring has been purchased/selected a measurement will be needed. Measurements usually take about 10-30 mins to complete. Once your estimate is approved, we begin the order/scheduling process. We collect the 50% deposit to intiate the order of materials. Once materials are recieved at our warehouse or on-site, we can schedule the installation date and time.
3. The final and last step of the process is installation day. For carpet installations expect 1-2 days to completion. For hardwood expect 3-5 days to completion.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With 20+ years experience, the "Golden Rule" applies the best and is always true. I come to find this rule is not simply a choice one must make, rather a guidline that is already in place to follow. At this point in my career, I am thankful for the flooring skills I learned to use over the years. From sales to installation of carpet, hardwood, and hardwood refinishing, Feel free to ask away !
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Home guide has a pretty standard pricing list for sale/installation.
How did you get started in this business?
Growing up in our family business, most of my knowledge is experience based. From start to finish, with repetition, and learning to fix mistakes has been the most consistent theme through my flooring career. Seaming carpets together, stapling, stretching, and installing carpet are skills all flooring mechanics should possess. However, when it comes to the way the sale and installation work together, is most sincerely important. As simple as it seems, flooring projects can go left, keep in mind if it seems to good to be true, it most likely is!
What types of customers have you worked with?
So many sincere and loving people have helped guide me in understanding the ways of business/life. Good clients are great. Labor is hardwork, fair payment is required. As simple as I can make it, and the reason I say this is because, I am 100% certain in making all of our flooring transactions, a repeatable experience.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Currently, we are integreting and incorporating sales funnels! Word of mouth has been healthy through the years, however I'm excited to see how email marketing will work. So far, I have experience dealing with a few leads and from what I gather so far, good contractors are greatly needed at this point in time. Taking pride in our earned skills is important. Potential clients now in days need the protocol clearly explained, in order to develop trust. A job that is worthy of fullfilling!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Listen, ask questions, and clearly say want you would like to see from them. Must of the time communication is at fault. When things that pertain to the job are not out lined, in the end we can feel a bit of unfairness. When this happens, it usually means the "lack of" communication is people exposed. Even still, this is when communication is needed to move on! From client to contractor no one is perfect. Trust in your heart because no matter what happens our hearts always guide us into the right direction.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
A good pro will be able to answer all of your questions, from start to finish! However, contractors are not necessarily good pickin out your colors. When you talk to a pro, you should be impressed by the help you get from the answers you hear.
