What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Discuss the customer needs and condition of existing equipment To establish a plan to resolve the issue, whether we recommend repair services or new products. If service is recommended, we immediately schedule the service appointment at a convenient time for the customer.
If replacement products are recommended, we immediately schedule an in-home free estimate.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We employ our in-house training program for our office, sales and technicians, as well as vendor training on specific products and services. We are EPA Lead-Safe certified and Underwriters Laboratories, UL325-2010 Safety Systems certified by Liftmaster.

Our pricing is based upon a flat-rate system for the job that is performed.
How did you get started in this business?
In 1941, the business began as a Quaker State Oil Distributor, having exclusive territories within several counties in PA. During that same period of time, the founder saw a tremendous need for garage door service and installations along with the new invention of the electric opener, they added these products and services to their Oil customers. Eventually, the door business became their single focus, and no longer offered oil products.
What types of customers have you worked with?
With more than 75,000 customers, we have worked with all types of residential, commercial and industrial customers throughout Central Pennsylvania.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Helping a residential customer to get to their doctor visit on time, when it looked impossible due to a broken garage door spring, and we fabricated the proper spring specification within our service truck. It is great to see the relief when we complete that job and exceed expectations.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would ask how many years experience do they have, and how When was the last time that my door was repaired or mainteained? We recommend once per year to ensure you have a safe and long life door system.often I do they complete the service call on the first visit. I would also ask if they can fabricate a new spring system within their truck, or do they do a temporary- yet unsafe fix until they order a new spring and then come back.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Would suggest to consider when was your door system service last. To extend the useful life of your door system and ensure it operates safely, we recommend your door system be serviced annually. Ask us about our 21-Point Annual Planned Maintenance program.
