Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to engage with our customers early in the process to help them establish a construction budget and connect them with our network of architects or designers if they don't already have one.
This helps bring the project vision to reality by helping them define the overall project scope. We then work to establish a fixed price bid, engage in the project, and drive the construction schedule to completion.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Fleschner Construction has been in business since 2008. We are certified through the Earth Advantage Sustainable Home's Professional course. We engage in regular industry events through ORA (Oregon Remodelers Association) JLC Live, and others and all our carpenters receive ongoing OSHA training.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We are a General Contractor so there is no "standard" pricing. Each remodeling job is treated on it's own merrit, based on it's own requirements and specifications. Depending on the size and scope of the project we either self perform or subcontract work to provide our customers with a solution that meets their goals.
How did you get started in this business?
After working as a Project Manager for enterprise software companies in Silicon Valley, I moved up to Portland to be closer to my family. I worked on a crew remodeling properties to begin with and started my own company in 2008.
