James A. says, "We recently had a home remodeled by ShinePro Building Solutions. The house was originally a rental and after having 4, 40 cu. yard dumpsters filled and removed, Jae and his designer layed out the perfect plans for a home we wanted to move in to. The house needed to be completely gutted. Walls were removed and all windows and doors were replaced. The kitchen was completely remodeled with quartz countertops, new cabinets, artisan tiles on the kitchen wall, an island and new flooring gave us our dream kitchen. They also remodeled the small bathroom and installed a small but classy subway tile shower. They removed the small master bathroom and walk-in closet to expand a beautiful and functional master bedroom. All of the lighting was replaced and new designer lights were installed over the island and dining room. On the outside they replaced the garage doors and came up with a great idea to wrap the garage in stained cedar which complemented the replaced siding and a wonderful new paint job. We have recently moved into the home and love it! We have hired ShinePro for Phase 2 which is an 11 x 16 Master Bedroom attached to a large back yard deck and hot tub. Thanks Jae and team! I’m an individual locksmith not a big company. What this means for my customer is that they will be charged enough for me to make a profit when I come do a job for them but they won’t be over charged like with big companies because I’m not getting paid a small percentage of whatever I sell you just so that I can pay my bills. This means I don’t have to charge the several hundred dollars for services that many companies in my area will charge for many of the services I offer. Operating like this allows me to keep more of my customers long term and build a business relationship with them so that they return every time they need help. I enjoy be...

How do I choose the best locksmith near me?

Start by searching our list of locksmiths in your area, then compare reviews and costs. After finding and contacting potential keysmiths:

  • If you are not in an emergency, get at least three free estimates to compare.
  • Call your roadside assistance or insurance company for a pre-approved list of locksmiths.
  • Ask for recommendations from family, friends, and neighbors.
  • Select companies that are licensed, insured, and certified.
  • Read reviews and check out their previous work on HomeGuide and Google.
  • Ask about their warranties and guarantees.
  • Not all states require locksmiths to have a license. Certified locksmiths with the Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA) will have a license.
  • Avoid making payments upfront. Pay after the work is completed.

After asking questions and verifying their credentials, hire the best residential locksmith in your area.

  • How long will the job take?
  • Do you offer a warranty or guarantee?
  • How much do you charge?
  • What payment options do you accept?
  • What do I need to provide to get started?
