What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Discuss with the client their project via phone, gather all contact information, and set the initial in-home appointment.
It is uber important to my team and I to understand, and listen to, the client's wants, needs, and desires. Assuming the client wants to move forward, a Project Developement & Design agreement is signed. Then two to three team members will set an appointment to visit the clients home and take detailed measurements along with many pictures.
My designer can then put a plan and layout together using the client's input and our ideas.
Once the CAD sketch is complete, the client is invited to our showroom to review the initial sketch and tell us their likes and dislikes or desired changes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified by NARI. I hold the CR (Certified Remodeler) and CKBR (Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodler). Both certifications required months of classroom sessions and a five-hour long test before receiving the certifications.

My pricing is compiled based upon historical costs of similar projects.
How did you get started in this business?
My grandfather took me under his wing when I was a youngster. I have always loved tools and building projects. I started this company in 1999 by myself. Today Acclaim Renovations & Design is a ten-employee company focused on quality, integrity, and transparency.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with clients of all ages including the elderly looking to change their bathroom and/or kitchen for better functionality.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The biggest problem clients face is making a decision about what company to hire. Making such an important decision based upon price is many times a mistake.
Ask for many referrals, at least ten, of jobs of varying scope and difficulty. Then be sure to speak with ALL of the referrals- ask about timeliness, quality, service, communication, and be sure to visit their office. Meet the team and get to know who will be handling your project.
