Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We fidentify the company and ourselves so that a customer knows to whom they are speaking. Our cue as to how to proceed is how the customer responds when the phone is answered. Generally we ask for name, address, and phone number; then we ask how we can help. If a customer wants to discuss their plumbing problem first, that's ok with us. Once we have all the information and we've answered their questions we then find a time suitable to schedule the work. Prior to arriving at the job, we give the customer a curtesy call to let them know the plumber is on his way. We do not just show up on your doorstep unannounced.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Being a Master Plumber requires both classroom and in the field training. After passing a state test a Master Plumber's license is then issued. The validity of the license can be varified with the Ohio Department of Commerce. Each year after being issued the license a Master Plumber must take 8-10 hours of continuing education in order to maintain his license. There are also various opportunities to attend seminars and demonstrations done by the makers of plumbing products.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our work in normally done on a time and material basis; however, we do have standard pricing for some types of work. If given a standard price, the customer must remember that they are being given a price 'sight unseen' and that once on the job other factors may enter into the equation.
