Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a journeyman plumber and a licensed home inspector with over 17 years in the construction industry.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
For handyman services, I charge $50 an hour for the first 2 hours and $35 an hour for anything over 2 hours. For larger jobs, we work by bid.
How did you get started in this business?
I grew up in the construction industry as my father was a superintendent building large distribution centers. My love for the trade started on his job sites as a teenager.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with a wide range of customers from realtors, new homeowners, commercial contractors, apartment complexes renters, and more
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love projects that other contractors say they can't do. From putting a doggy door in a brick wall to installing stained glass windows in a 4 story building, every project is just as exciting as the next.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My biggest advice is making sure the contractor is insured. Your home is your biggest asset and you want to keep it protected.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Always see how the payment should be made. On large projects, you should never pay more than a 50% deposit.
