Frequently asked questions

First, we want to know if our service will be helpful to our caller. There are some situations where replacing the line is going to work out better for them. We ask multiple questions to ensure that we fully understand your needs, then, if we feel our service is advantageous, we provide pricing accordingly.

We have trained and been certified by the two most qualified leak detection training companies in the USA.

Most leak detections are performed for $350, which includes helium. Slab leaks are $50 more. These prices are for Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana. Call for Dayton pricing!

The owner, Brandt Junker, was a plumbing designer for 20 years and later became a project manager and estimator for 9 years. During that time he hired several leak detection companies and noted that there was a need in the industry for better commnunication and accuracy. After spending a week in training with two independent training companies out west, Reliable Leak Detection was born, August 26th, 2013. The rest is history!

While most of our work is residential, we also do a large amount of commercial work. Everything from apartment complexes to schools, farms, country clubs, hospitals, storage facilities, restaurants, municipal work, auto dealerships, condos, trailer parks, medical offices, railroad facilities, fire protection companies and cemetarys.

THere was a large office complex with a leak in a 400 ft long 8"  hot water line that was insulated and jacketed. Another leak detection company had come out and failed. The lead engineer called and asked what we would do different. We used helium only, as you can't get sound out of insulated & jacketed pipe. The job was a huge success and the engineer Emailed us to let us know the location was very accurate. The complex jobs are always a challenge and enjoyable.

Make sure your leak detector will do all the steps to ensure a successful leak location. There are some companies that skip steps and the results wind up highly innaccurate. You get what you pay for!

Does your company do helium checking as part of the base price?
