Creative Carpentry & Design Inc., is a full service General Contracting firm, which has been successfully completing Remodeling projects in Westchester, for over 32 years. My company is a small to mid-sized company specializing in high end residential Remodeling and Renovation projects. I have over 40 years’ experience as a carpenter and Project Manager. I personally supervise every project we contract from start to finish making your renovation as stress free for you as possible. We are a company that strives to personalize every step of the project, from the first call to the last item on the punch list, I am there for you, thus enabling me to give my clients, a top quality project, time and time again.

Every Remodeling or Renovation project is unique in itself. Because we are dealing with homes that are from 150 years old to new, each project presents its own challenges and makes my job very interesting. I love to be presented with these challanges and figure out the solutions along the way to make every part of the renovation look and feel as if it has always been there.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Ussally we get a call or email intoducing themselves to us. I ussally return their contact within a day. Then we set up an appointment for me to vist the site and review the scope of work. Depending on the size of the project I can ussally provide them with a proposal or buget proposal within one to two weeks.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been formally trained at Saunders Trade & Technical H.S. in Yonkers. I finished top of my graduating class with a degree in Carpentry.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have standard pricing for project since almost every project is unique.
How did you get started in this business?
I knew I wanted to do this since I was 14 years old. After graduating from school, I started in the trade immediately.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with all types of customers. Mainly we try to work with a customer who is looking for the highest quality and craftmenship for a reasonable cost.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
Arecent project we are very fond of is a project where we got to add on additional space and renovate the existing house completly.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
When looking to hire a general contractor. a client should ask their neighbors, friends and family if they have worked with anyone thet they would recomend. If not, search the internet for a local contractor that is Licenced and insured. Find one that you can see some pictures of the work they have done in your area. Contact them and set up a meeting to see if you will be comfortable working with them. Ask for references. Contact the past clients and ask to go and see the projects in person. Once you are confident they can do your project and you like their work proceed to the design or proposal stage.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Clients should always have a criteria before speaking with any contractor. Before you look for someone to work with decide what your budget will be. Prioritize if you want the highest quality or you are looking for a price oriented contractor. Maybe you may be looking for somewhere in between.
