About
For over 45 years Stanley Lewis Plumbing & Heating Corporation has provided outstanding service to New York City area residents. Established in 1973, in Brooklyn, New York by Stanley Beresford Lewis — after having gained experience in the field during the 1950’s and 1960’s with a local company —Stanley Lewis Plumbing & Heating Corporation, once a humble service provider has flourished into an organization that provides ever expanding services to meet the needs of the 21st century client.
In 1973 Stanley Beresford Lewis became one of the first African-Americans to obtain a New York City Master Plumber’s License. He joined the Kings County Master Plumbers Association in 1975 and served as its president from 1982-1984.
Mr. Lewis is a member of the Master Plumbers Council of the City of New York.
He was named its Director from 1996-1997 and again from 1999-2001, and has also served as treasurer for several years.
Stanley Beresford Lewis has been recognized for his contributions to the plumbing industry. He remains current with industry advances through continuing education courses and seminars in various disciplines.
In 2002, his son Stanley Alexander Lewis joined the company after graduating from Cornell University with a Bachelors Degree. Alex, as he is known to clients, has helped the company develop into a more competitive entity. His development and streamlining of business systems—computer automation, inventory controls, and increased fleet of service vehicles — has added to the company’s success by expanding its customer base, without sacrificing both its new and long-standing clients.
It is with great pride that Stanley Lewis Plumbing & Heating Corporation looks forward to continuing to serve the Tri-State area.
