Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
The initial "estimate" is just that, an estimate. It's based upon past projects and experience and is usually provide to the customer as a range based on the size and scope. The next step would be to enter into a design agreement. From there we work with the client to pick everything from fixtures to finishes. Based on that knowledge, we are better able to provide a detailed proposal of the project.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Provide as much information as possible. Be upfront and honest about your budget, your concerns and your wishlist. The more information that any general contractor has, the easier it should be to complete your project on time and on budget.
