Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With every client we encounter, new or returning, the process is the same: Listening to your needs and understanding what you expect from us makes it easier for us to provide the best service and what level of service you deserve. Once we have an understanding of your needs, we will provide you with a quote that matches it, since we provide a wide variety of services.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are a family owned and operated business with over 30 years of combined experience, some of us have been working in this industry since we could crawl and there is nothing we can't get done
How did you get started in this business?
I started this as a summer job in my early teen years while I was in high school with my uncles and some friends. As the years went by and I grew, no matter what I did or what situation I was in, I could always go back to moving and provide for my family. As I worked for big corporate companies in this field I saw an opportunity to provide our clients with higher quality of service for a reasonable cost; therefore I started Affordable and Assertive Moving and Storage LLC.
What types of customers have you worked with?
From all parts and different cultures , tall, short you name it we have done it all. No job to big or small no client left behind.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of our most recent jobs that caught my attention was a client we moved from Short hills, NJ to TN which was around 2700 Cubic feet, full white glove service 2 days, 3 trucks and 6 guys later and beautiful weather we got the move accomplished with no damages.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Be very detailed as far as what your expectations are as well as what items will be moved and what kind of service you are shopping for full service just loading help....etc... P.S. If it sounds to good to be true it usually is...
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Are you looking to pack up all your items yourself or would you like the movers to pack everything for you. How soon or what are you expectations as far as pick up and delivery.
