About

The reason my service stands out is because I take pride in my work. I am a "A" licensed plumber. In other words.... I am a UNION PLUMBER. I created this account to give the customers a fair price so they do not get charged an arm and a leg for simple repairs. I will treat the customer as family and walk them thru on how I will be doing the repair or installation.

The plumber protects the health of the nation. Also being able to put a smile on the face of the customer when the job is completed and they can finally use what was broken again. For example, broken dishwasher, installed new one ,now their life will be a little bit easier because they don't need to wash the dishes by hand anymore. They regain time and not having to manually clean the dishes again. Always puts a smile on the face of the customer for making their life a little simpler again.

Joe was very knowledgeable about the work being done. He was very fair on pricing. If he couldnt do the job, only a nominal fee is charge. I will recommend his services to others.

Frequently asked questions

I like to treat everyone with respect and treat them as I would family. I also talk them thru the process on how I'm going to fix the problem at hand. I understand that not everyone will understand the  terminology that is spoke with my type of work. I like to break it down so the customer fully understands me and what's going on so they feel comfortable and not left out. I want the customer to know that I appreciate them and would never get over on them. Ex:overcharging. I encourage them to get different company qoutes to see the price range of job at hand.

The training program I attended was a 5 year apprenticeship at the Plumbers Union Hall of 690 in the great city of Philadelphia, PA. Apon completion of this schooling, I was rewarded with a type "A" journeyman plumbing license. Through out that 5 years, my fellow classmates and I were in a classroom learning one day every two weeks. During the time not in class, I was on a union jobsite receiving the best hands on training possible for me. I always had a master or journeyman plumber ( that had years of experience and knowledge in the plumbing trade) looking over and showing me how to complete different plumbing tasks at hand, the fastest and most efficient way and most importantly, completing the job right the first time , never cut corners. "Skilled work isn't cheap, cheap work isn't skilled."

I personally do not have a standard pricing guide. The work that I receive from this website is what I call "SIDE-WORK". This is because I work for companies in the union during the day. And after the workday I complete the work from this site. Also, when I am laid off , I'm able to complete the work from here when ever the customer wants it done.

The way I price work depends on a few different variables. The tools to be used, how long it will take, cost of materials, and how far the customer is from the shop. (Gas)  This is just a few.

The simpler the task is , the less I charge. The harder the job is , the price goes up. Not only it takes longer , now my experience and knowledge will get the job done right.

I was 20 years old and I had my first child about to be born. I went to college for 2 years right out of high school but dropped out because the major I choose (computer graphics) median salary was cut in half. $80,000 to $40,000. I decided to learn a skilled trade instead of college because I felt that the salary would continue to drop. I did however continued to go to college until I started in the union.

I tried to get into any labor union I could. I applied to the carpenters, Steamfitters, tinknockers, plumbers, and electricians unions. The application tests were difficult and varied by trades. At this time, the economy wasn't doing so well so this made becoming an apprentice even harder due to no buildings going up.

I passed the plumbers test and had to wait for an opening. I had to wait a year before they started classes to become a union plumber. Best decision I ever made in my life. My schooling I received was funded by the members of 690 . No state funds or grants . All union apprentice programs are funded by the members within.... No state or government funds are used when you are being trained in a union apprenticeship. Also I would like to add, the taxpayer funds are not used. Unlike the otherside of training non union programs.
