Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We are careful to get all possible contact information from our customers to minimize communication issues. We listen to the issues they are having, and then go out to assess the problem and see what repairs have to be made. When possible, we give them an estimate up front so they are clear on costs ahead of time. Our customers really matter to us, and we treat them the way we would expect to be treated.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have two master plumbers on staff, two senior technicians with over 15 years experience, two junior technicians and two dedicated helpers. We have a full office staff and accept texts and emails after hours to help our customers keep in touch and get service more quickly.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our service fee is always $75. If repairs will exceed this amount, we provide an estimate and deduct the service fee from the job total.
How did you get started in this business?
Our founder was always interested in working with people and enjoys a job that keeps him physically active. Plumbing was a natural combination of the mechanical skills and service abilities he excelled at. When the business expanded, he searched for and found like minded individuals. For all of our staff, our work and our customers matter!
What types of customers have you worked with?
We've worked on everything from small apartments to multi-million dollar homes and commercial projects.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
We had a customer that had multiple plumbers tell her she had to have a slab leak repaired to the cost of several thousand dollars. Not only were we able to use cameras to detect the actual leak, we were able to repair it for less than $200!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure you clearly describe the issue, send pictures if possible, and give as detailed a description as you can prior to the professional arriving. Make sure they have a clear work area, and keep children, pets and other household members away. Let the professional work - do not hover over the work area and ask questions, save any questions for when the work is complete!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Be specific about what you need to have done, and ask questions concerning their experience with the type of work, typical issues that they've found, what pricing runs and what a reasonable expectation of the process and timing is. For example, if you want to upgrade from a standard gas water heater to a tankless unit, the actual installation of the tankless can be done in less than a day. But, depending on your existing system, we may have to run and re-route gas piping and water piping, and it will need to be inspected. Sometimes the inspection process has multiple steps and visits, it's usually not a speedy thing. Make sure your expectations are in line with the actual process!
