Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When you call, we will briefly get an idea of the size of the job, and your ideas / visions for how you would like it to look when we're done. We will get a few ideas about materials and your budget and set up an appointment for our team to come take measurments and provide you with a quote. If we come to an agreement we set up a timeline with our estimated beginning and completion dates and you can leave the rest to us!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our staff is primarily centered around their flooring background along with our renovations and remodeling crew we can help you complete your job from start to finish whether you just want the floor done all the way up to a complete room makeover, we are prepared and capable of providing you with expert work and keep your budget manageable.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
For flooring, we have a standardized per sq/ft pricing structure. Other jobs that require different aspects will require a more detailed quote. We will gladly provide a list of our base flooring rates upon request by email, mail or over the phone!
How did you get started in this business?
The two founders of this business started off in different areas with the same interests in quality, value and customer satisfaction. Waylon is a master flooring installer with over 20 years experience in the flooring field and is knowledgable in basic remodeling work as well. Robby started off in construction early in life and was running a commercial & residential repairs and renovations company. The two of them met by chance and started helping each other occasionally on different jobs, sharing their respected knowledges and combining their experience. The idea was bounced around that they would be better off working under one roof instead of two and continue to bring lots of experience and dedication to our clients.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with all types of people from all walks of life. Whether it be economic, educational, regional, etc. We will find a way to make your dreams a reality one way or another.
(side note, we have been doing this long enough, not much surprises us... so if you have something you think others may judge you by and is holding you back from letting someone come help you make your house a home, call us. We don't judge.)
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they seem professional and experienced. Be wary of anyone that doesn't ask questions before just throwing out a price and anyone that seems timid about providing a business address or references. A deposit up front is often standard procedure depending on if the professional is purchasing materials or traveling a distance to provide the work but anyone that demands they be paid in full up front may or may not have your best intentions in mind.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What exactly do I need done?
Do I forsee there being a lot of unexpected "surprises" or should this be pretty straight forward? (we will help you with that when we do your quote)
What is my budget?
When do I need this done?
