Finn Construction
About
Every project requires problems to be solved. We look for issues before we start, and develop a plan of action in our project development phase so that each phase of your project can start exactly when it is suppose to. We want to establish ourselfs as sustainable, building science contious, and efficent builders.
We get to build, remodel, and participate in very cool projects. Every project is unique so its never the same. Were always learning from out peers in building science practices, sustainabilty, and high performance systems. Thats awesome.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically like to work as close to the idea of a project as possible. Working with the project owner to actually develop a working build, remodel, or addition. We do that with our pre construction development plan.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been involved in construction related fields and construction managment since 2000. I started as the broom guy, and now own and opperate Finn Construction a full service general contractor firm. We carry a Class A General Contractors license and I have a BA from UMKC in interpesonal coumminications.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We are flexable but cost plus projects are our go to. The problem with GMP garunteed maximuim price, with projects that are not fully developed include a lot of fluff, because you must account for the unknown, and if you attempt to bid out a project with undeveloped plans you will certainly get a wide range of prices, because each contractor is not the same and their building practices or methods are also not the same which leads to big ranges.
We like to develop a plan that gets you build ready, which means all of the decisions or done, plans are finalized, and an actual cost can be established.
How did you get started in this business?
I got started in this current business by working as an owners rep in commecial development. I was running multi million dollar projects, as we self GCd all of our projects. When our list of projects were completed, I was given the opputinity to take on a large commercail project, doing exactly what I was doing, but under Finn Construction as of 2016.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Our customes range from home owners, commercial developers, hotels and multifamily owners, as well as other general contractors in project manament.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Be honest with your situation, be real and upfront with your expectations, and if you dont know its ok thats what were hear for. You have to start from some place.
