Hunter James Construction
About
Hi there! My name is Andy Vagle and I started Hunter James Construction in 2009. Having been in the industry for 20 years prior to starting the company, I have focused on providing an affordable, high quality product to our customer. In addition to building locally, our subcontractors will work with us throughout the state and have done many projects in North Dakota. Lately we have been doing a lot of cabin demolitions and rebuilds but we enjoy all different projects. Our passion is bringing you a quality product that you can be proud of. Let us work with you to design a house that you can make a home.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet with the customer to determine their budget, style of house, and their wants and needs. Once the design is finished, the customer will work hand in hand with the designer and subcontractors to make their selections effortless. Our lending team can help with all your mortgage needs, if desired, leading up to the start time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Engineering from Montana State.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing all depends on design and selections.
How did you get started in this business?
My father was a builder, so I grew up in the industry.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types from first time home owners to the customer building their final dream home.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Be careful of the contractor that has very little experience and poor quality. I have had many people we've met with build with a cheaper, fast talking contractor only to have them come back later and say they made a huge mistake.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Try to get a idea of what you can send and what kind of home you want.
