Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My name is Corrinne. I handle Project Design and Development. Once I get a request I schedule and in home appointment. We will discuss materials, styles, time lines, budget and I will collect information on the space. I then reach out to suppliers and subcontractors with a layout or design. I can either take materials you provide and build a labor bid or I can help you shop and find your style and present you with a total package.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been handling design and development for the last 4 years. My education is self taught. I seek out specialty designers for certain elements but mostly I like to meet with you and go over your preferences and help build a project. I can meet with clients at show rooms and suppliers to look at design elements
How did you get started in this business?
in 2000 My Dad and Grandpa bought a few investment properties and starting flipping them. Go to our website for the full story. www.ruschsconstructionzone.com
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Some things are fine to shop for the bottom dollar. When it comes to your home, it is worth spending money not only for return on investment but also for your enjoyment in your space. Look for someone who can offer you details and is transparent with information. The less clear you are on what the project entails the more likely you are either dealing with a 'hatchetmaster' or they are unorganized and you will likely pay for the discounted price in change orders later.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How do you want to use the space? How much are you comfortable investing? How soon do you need this work done? Is there anything you have seen as an 'inspiration'?
