About this pro

Myers Custom Design Build is a fully licensed and insured company based in upper Mont. County. For 35 years I have run Steve Myers Quality Home Improvements and the current company doing referral based high quality remodeling jobs of all sizes. We have specialized in kitchens, bathrooms and additions and have done everything else imaginable along the way. We have many actual job photos on our web site and can provide the referrals for all types of jobs. Every single person on our jobs is both qualified and respectful of your home, and I personally manage what goes on and how it's done with job site visits daily and am available to our clients 7 days a week via cell phone. What sets us apart is the ability to comunicate and execute exactly what we promise and to do it on time. I have found that many people have come to believe this this is rare in this line of work. We are not perfect but we do strive for that with all that we do.

I enjoy using the experience I have gained thru all the years in this business to help my clients come up with what is the best plan for them, based on design and budget. I consider it a challenge of my expertise on each perspective job and enjoy each one.

When we are done with a job it's very gratifying to know that I was able to deliver exactly what was expected and that we have one more client that is overjoyed with the quality of work they recieved and are anxious to tell their friends about what a positive experience it was.

Their honesty and quality of workmanship. They did exactly as they said they would and our new kitchen is absolutely gorgeous They has done a kitchen addition for one of our neighbors who spoke highly of them and I would recommend them to anyone looking for remodeling.

Steve had a great crew; they were focused, detail oriented, and masters at their crafts. We started with a kitchen addition and ended up redoing our entire house, room by room. We have enjoyed our "new" home very much.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Simply to meet at their site and discuss what the customers thoughts and ideas are. That way I can observe as to whether there may be things that affect cost or design that I think I can advise them about to best fit there needs and budget. My job is to help them to know all they need to make an educated decision for themselves.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

40 years of being involved in the business. As far back as 1980 I was painting homes and doing commercial flooring and ceramic tile work. By 1990 we were doing kitchens and bathroom remodeling and small additions. By 2000 we had gained popularity in many neighborhoods, being referred because of the quality of our work and honesty, with only the highest quality of people doing the work.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

Each job is unique and needs to be considered individually based on the specifics of each home, the design, and materials wanted.

How did you get started in this business?

I always enjoyed the challenge of using my mind and being able to be active with my hands. After working for 2 udifferent contractors I was convinced that this was my calling and I have dedicated my entire adult life into building a respected business.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Honestly, I have worked with people doing everything from installing a storm door or painting a room, to building muti-thousand sq ft additions for all different types of customers. At this point of my life not every single job or customer may be the best match for my company but we still do most types of work. And what work we do, we do to the best of our ability.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

We recently did our first screen porch with a built in stone wood burning exterior fireplace. I love adding new wrinkles to what we do as things are always evolving and changing in this industry. Especially with Kitchen and bathroom remodeling there is something new every year, so there's always the need to learn and grow.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Main thing is to select someone that you truly trust because you are hiring someone that you will need to work along side with in your home and with your money. It is critical to have that relationship

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

They should prioritize what isthe most important thing to them. Whether it is a specific kind of design, space, budget, or anything else, it's important to know this.
